Dress to impress, the look you want.

At times for males and females we see these ads on television about dressing in business attire. Its a look that appeals to something and it looks like it can also be rather expensive. In reality it doesn’t have to be. Stores such as Marshals, Ross and Burlington Coat Factory have that same look you wish to capture at a portion of the press.

Button up shirts, ties, slacks, are all available for men at a great price. For women there are also many clothes decisions that acquire that business look.

At times it can be vary hard to see an image on TV and wish you had that look. The look that you want to pay for is obtainable at stores that I listed above. The price is well worth it, and also gives you options.

Members only, never saved so good.

As a frequent shopper I always try to buy the things i know that I’m going to use. I am a big fan of hats and nice clothes, not the best investment but it’s what i like. I realised that some stores especially in this area offer certain memberships to save. The hat club in Serramonte mall offers a membership with a one time fee and a lifetime saving of 20% every time you use it.

Not everyone a fan of hats, but to certain things you do like it can be a saving for you. One site I like to visit is www.jackthreads.com , it’s for members only but very easy to sign up for. A large portion of their clothes are already 70% off , so the savings are great.

I think the biggest misconception about being a “member” is that its hard to get in.I use the term loosely, it’s not like the 1980s were the members jackets are numbered to only 100 made. Members is just very generic now, the tip in this post is that sometimes being aware of what you need can benefit your savings.

Take advantage of what they give you.

Through the mail that comes to your house you may notice that a lot of it is junk. It could be things like ads at stores you don’t shop at, a new credit card or changing your insurance policy but a majority of those things hit the garbage. I try to read through the ads just to catch anything that may catch my eye.

Finally one day I seen an ad for Bed, Bath & Beyond and seen a $5 dollar off coupon on a $15 dollar purchase. Its something I overlooked plenty of times but finally read through the ad and realized that I could use this coupon for something I need. Than shortly after that I opened a the new Target add and received a coupon for free eggs.

It’s the small things that we overlook that can be costly. The coupon for free eggs, only about 2 dollars, and the coupon for $5 dollars off is just that, 5 dollars. Together that makes $7 dollars, and the more you read into the ads you will save on the things you need.

Take advantage of what they give you, these coupons are used to draw people in but with a little self-control you can make it out on top with your sanity.

Happy Hour? Not just for drinking anymore.

On the radio and television commercial I have noticed a lot more restaurants and other places advertising their happy hour. At first I didn’t understand it. places like Starbucks and Sonics having happy hours.

This is an old concept with new standards because regularly happy hour was intended on  bringing in consumers when the hours were dull. Restaurants would offer half off drinks in order to bring a crowd on an alloted amount of time, for example happy hour from 3 to 5 pm.

Places like Starbucks and Sonics have happy hours were they offer a special menu at half the price. half off coffee and half off burgers, other restaurants also offer happy hours.

The best way to enjoy the results of happy hour is to check your favorite restaurant and see if they offer it. Only half the price but a full size value.

The right tune could bring sweet music to your ear.

Music can be such a big part of people’s everyday lives. Music in the Bay Area especially is such a large factor in how we look, talk, and even carry out our everyday paths.

For all those students, adults. children, employees. whomever you may be this is your universal music tip.I was never into downloading or copying music, I have always been one to buy the full length cds. Throughout a short period of time i realized that cds can be very expensive, but then I learned about stores like FYE, Rasputin, Amoeba and the thing that i loved about these stores was that they sold used cds for less than half or the regular price.

even cheaper than these stores is Amazon.com and ebay.com, these sites sell cds for a whole lot cheaper than a regular price.

Please don’t burn, copy or transfer music files if you can’t buy the cds.I support the bay 100% and i visit the stores i listed earlier as frequent as i can.

Mothers day, a time of blessing.

On mothers day we celebrate the wonderful ladies in our lives by showering them with gifts among other things. On this blessed day many things happen but the leading up to mothers day can be very costly.

In order to get the right gift, I hope you started shopping early but if you didn’t there are still opportunities to make up for it. Places like the hallmark store, and moments to remember offer great prices on mother’s day gifts. Sometimes there are also free things that come along with the gift because of the special time of the season.

Restaurants have great mothers day brunches and dinners that can feed the whole family. These special prices are for one day only and the value is very well worth it.

On mothers day many things can happen , but putting your mom first should be the obligation.Tip: Just ask your mother what she wants…haha she may not want nothing more then your time. Money issuie solved just by asking.

Vegtables, fruits, mixed nuts and plenty other great things.

If you couldn’t figure out what I was describing in the title of this post…I am referring to almost any farmers market. For those who don’t know, the farmers market is a small event were growers meet up every so often to sell their crops.

Growers usually grow a wide range of things like fruits, veggies, variety nuts and other things that are natural. The reason why this is a money-saving tip is because for the most part the prices are more than fair. It’s the deals that draw people into the farmers market and the experience is great.

In South San Francisco the farmers market happens at Orange Park every saturday. For more info on that visit www.southsanfrancisco.com . Theres is also another Farmers Market that takes place in Daily City in the Serramonte mall. For more info on that you can visit the info kiosk in Serramonte Mall or check their website.

Cinco De Mayo, a celebration for the stomach.

Many people in the Bay Area are Mexican or Latino, but it doesn’t matter about your ethnicity because  it’s a day were people just come together.

Beyond just the historical value,it’s a day were almost all Mexican food and beer is on sale.  Anywhere you go out to today, bars, restaurants there will be happy hour specials galore. This is one day to be outside and enjoy a pleasant day in the Bay.

Tacos, Burritos, Quesdillas, Cerveza and Tequila.Yes I know this is typical but going out and enjoying these things at a great price is good.

Its good to save, but never cheap out.

Through out my postings, everything that I post is all to save money. There are many things that we can have control over that can be saved on, but sometimes there are those things that we can not cheap out on. Things such as your children or other family should never get the cheap end of the stick when it comes to things. One person you should Take care of is definitely yourself…. There are some things that should be taken serious especially with the money.

In one personal case, I tried to save money on a tattoo by going to one of my friends buddies who did them at the time. The quote on the tattoo was great and tattooing gun was professional.  By the time the artwork was done, I paid a fair price but didn’t like the way the tattoo came out. Years later (today) I am planning a way to save and get it fixed. Now it will cost me a lot more but it will be worth the value.

Lesson learned, you can save on many things but never cheap out on serious things.

Timeing is everything when it comes to your ticket.

When opportunities arise to save money, many people think that it is a hoax or a gimmick in order to save now but spend later. For example especially here in the bay area we are always listening to ads on the radio concerning theme parks and other things were you can buy cheaper passes in a timely manner. Places like Great America Theme Park or Ragging Waters always have ads going on the radio going something like this:

“Get your season pass to ——–,before May 30th and pay the price of one admission for the whole season! Also don’t miss out on our other package deals available online.”

It allures the consumer at first, but then sounds to good to be true. In all honesty it is a great deal. Places like theme parks or other places that are only open for a certain amount of time throughout the year have goals to set, as far as brining in the clients. So they will sell cheap tickets to fill the place, just be carefull because they really make their money inside. No one want to pay $4 dollars for a 20 once coke, of $7.50 for a regular hot dog so be prepared.

The tickets are the deals, but the food and extras are not. Checking with that theme parks regulations about brining in food is always a great idea, just visit their website.
